Learning New Skills for Self-Image and Self-Esteem

The Wellbeing Hub is here to take the stress out of learning new skills. By investing some time in learning, you can open the door to exciting new opportunities. Whether you are looking to learn new skills, broaden your social horizons, brush up on existing skills or gain qualifications, there is sure to be a course that meets your needs.

There are a variety of learning options available for adults. You can gain professional qualifications, such as a QCF diploma, or academic qualifications like GCSE’s and A-Levels.

Other options are to learn a sporting or physical recreation skill with a local sports team or centre, or taking a craft and skill class such as jewellery making or woodwork. Groups are also available for you to explore any artistic, cultural or current affairs interests you may have.  These types of classes, groups and courses are run all over the country at colleges, further education centres and community centres.

There may also be an option to access learning opportunities in your workplace via a training provider, such as Aspiration Training, Educ8, Network Training or TSW. You can find your perfect learning option online, in your local newspaper or at your nearest college or further education centre.
